North Star was formed in 1999 by Dr. Michael D. Reilly, Douglas Fletcher, and Eric A. Gregg bringing together over 30 years of marketing research experience. One of the firm’s first projects was assisting Dr. David Maister (a global thought leader on the management of professional service firms) with the research and analysis of his book, Practice What You Preach.

The Maister project was an important project for North Star because it provided the opportunity to prove its capabilities on a global playing field. Since its modest beginning, North Star has grown to become a leader in the field of global, web-based organizational research.
