North Star is located in Bozeman, Montana (U.S.A). Given the global nature of the research that we lead for our clients, some are surprised by our off-the-beaten-path location.

Historically, large research projects have been administered by market research firms in major metropolitan areas. Advances in technology, however, have made global research possible from non-urban areas with lower overhead and operating expenses.

Bozeman is a thriving, college community in the Rocky Mountains with a population of about 50,000. It is located between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. Over the past ten years, Bozeman has emerged as a hotbed for high-tech and biotech startups due to its proximity to a first-rate research university and a well-educated labor force.

Bozeman was picked in 2003 as a Top 5 Best University Town by Outside Magazine. Montana State University was chosen as the best at combining intellectual and outdoor resources.

In 2012, National Geographic named Bozeman one of the World’s 25 Best Ski Towns.
